Volunteering Project Manager - Young People, Manchester - Full time maternity cover

Step Together’s Disadvantaged Youth Programme aims to increase the life skills, employability and community engagement of young people through volunteering.  We are seeking a Volunteering Project Manager (F-T maternity cover to Feb19) to work directly with disadvantaged young people in Greater Manchester, providing 1-1 coaching and mentoring support, motivating and inspiring young people to volunteer.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills, and significant experience in working directly with disengaged or vulnerable young people, supporting and inspiring them to make positive changes to their lives.  The role requires persistence, self-motivation, determination and a positive and creative approach to problem solving.  The role involves working closely with multiple partners including local authorities, referral partners and charities offering placements.  Applicants should be comfortable with remote working, and have a valid driving licence.

Step Together’s Disadvantaged Youth Programme aims to increase the life skills, employability and community engagement of young people through volunteering.  We are seeking a permanent, part-time Volunteering Project Manager (3 days per week) to work directly with disadvantaged young people in Greater Manchester, providing 1-1 coaching and mentoring support, motivating and inspiring young people to volunteer.
