We are delighted to announce Anna-Clare Temple has been appointed as our new CEO, with effect from 24th September 2018.
She joins us from Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum, where she has been CEO since October 2015. During this time, Anna-Clare successfully increased the charity’s membership and income, and was instrumental in setting the forward strategy for the organisation.
Prior to this, Anna-Clare spent 8 years working with charities in Bristol that support people with disabilities and was Deputy CEO at WECIL (The West of England Centre for Inclusive Living).
Anna-Clare takes over from Mike Silvey, who has led Step Together for the last five years through significant organisational change, including the relocation of our Head Office to Bristol, launch of the new name and brand of Step Together and implementing a more cost-effective central team structure.
Roger Donbavand, Chair of Step Together Board of Trustees, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Anna-Clare Temple as the new CEO of Step Together. Anna- Clare has a very broad range of experience to bring to the organisation and we believe she has the flair and vision to take Step Together to the next level of its development. I would like to thank Mike for the brilliant job he has done over the past five years and wish him every success in his new role.”
On her new appointment, Anna-Clare said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Step Together, a charity that is already having a huge impact on the lives of people facing social exclusion. I’m very much looking forward to working with the Step Together team and trustees to further increase our reach and impact and continue to use the power of volunteering to change lives.”
