Donate your Tech to Manchester Digital Collective 

In 2020, it was estimated that around 7% of the UK population were still offline and 9 million struggled to get online by themselves.  Affordability of equipment and broadband means that many of our clients really struggle to get on-line and communicate with us during periods of lockdown and we are excited to become a member of the Manchester Digital Collective (MDC) formed by charity, Lifeshare. 

MDC are taking a collaborative approach and working with many organisations to tackle this problem.   Through your tech donations, MDC can support charities like ours, and enable our vulnerable and isolated clients to get online.  If you didn’t have your mobile or tablet, how would you cope?  A high proportion of our clients who are facing this issue can really benefit from a donated tech item – it helps us connect with them during the pandemic, provides easy access to online learning to aid their development, apply for volunteering, work placements and jobs, and connects them to the outside world.
