We’ll be sending out our online training newsletter every other week with 2 or 3 options for you to have a look at. If you’re interested in looking at more online training options now or would like some help in getting set up with the ones mentioned below, just get in touch with your worker.

Training Festival of Archaeology 

Ever wondered what it would be like to be an archaeologist? From the 11th – 19th July you can find out! Follow along on social media or on the website below to learn all about what it takes to be an archaeologist, watch live workshops, ask questions about the job on twitter and take a look at the “A day in the life of an archaeologist” blogs. There are even competitions for you to take part in too.

Propagate Learning 

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh have set up a free online mini taster course for you to take part in. The course is called “How plants fight back” and is all about how plants have evolved to defend themselves. The course works as a presentation with videos and a quiz at the end. All you need to do is set aside 30-40 mins to give it a go!

How easy is it to use?

There’s no need to log in to anything for this one; you can join the course as a guest and don’t need to put in any of your details. It works well from a phone, tablet or laptop. There are also some other free courses for you to get involved in on the link above.

Activity ideas

Laughter Yoga 

Fancy exercising just by having a laugh? Now you can! Take part in a free laughter yoga session as part of the Festival of Wellbeing. Before you book a session take a look and make sure it’s right for you here

Sessions take part on the following dates and times - just click on the session to book your spot: 14th July at 2pm until 4pm, 15th July at 10am until noon, 16th July at 5.30pm until 7.30pm. Keep checking back for more ideas.
